Surabhi–Indra Dialogue as a Governance Exemplar

भवांश्ष मन्यते साधु यत्‌ कुरूणां महोदयम्‌ । तदेव विदुरो<प्याह भीष्मो द्रोणश्न मां मुने,मुने! आप भी वही उत्तम मानते हैं जो कुरुवंशके महान्‌ अभ्युदयका कारण है। मुने! यही बात विदुर, भीष्म और द्रोणाचार्यने भी मुझे कही है

dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | bhavān hi manyate sādhu yat kurūṇāṁ mahodayam | tad eva viduro ’py āha bhīṣmo droṇaś ca māṁ mune ||

Dhṛtarāṣṭra disse: “De fato, julgas como melhor o caminho que trará grande prosperidade e elevação à linhagem dos Kuru. O mesmo conselho, ó sábio, também me foi dado por Vidura, Bhīṣma e Droṇa.”
