भीमसेनस्य आत्मबलप्रशंसा — Bhīmasena’s Assertion of Strength

वैशम्पायन उवाच
Compassion is not rejected, but it must be governed and redirected into purposeful action. The verse uses the image of wind kindling fire to show how wise counsel can transform soft emotion into dharmic resolve when duty demands firmness.
The narrator describes Bhīma seated and emotionally overwhelmed with pity. Another figure (contextually, Kṛṣṇa in the surrounding passage) speaks to him in a way that energizes and steels him—like Vāyu intensifying Agni—preparing him for the hard decisions and conflict ahead.
