Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 62 — Duryodhana’s Claim of Victory and Vidura’s Allegories on Discord and Risk
अन्येषु च नरेन््द्रेषु पराक्रम्य समारभे । दादाजी! ऐसी दशामें भी आप कैसे जानते हैं कि विजय कुन्तीपुत्रोंकी ही होगी। मैं, आप, द्रोणाचार्य, कृपाचार्य, बाह्निक तथा अन्य राजाओंके पराक्रमका भरोसा करके युद्धका आरम्भ नहीं कर रहा हूँ
anyeṣu ca narendreṣu parākramya samārabhe |
Duryodhana disse: «Também não inicio esta guerra confiando no valor de outros reis. Ainda assim, venerável senhor, como podeis ter certeza de que a vitória pertencerá apenas aos filhos de Kuntī? Não ponho este conflito em marcha somente pela minha própria força, nem pela de Droṇa, Kṛpa, Bāhlīka ou dos muitos outros soberanos.»
