Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 55 — Sañjaya’s Report on Pāṇḍava Readiness and Arjuna’s Dhvaja
भीमसेनानुरोधाय हनूमान् मारुतात्मज: । आत्मप्रतिकृतिं तस्मिन् ध्वज आरोपयिष्यति,भीमसेनके अनुरोधकी रक्षाके लिये पवननन्दन हनुमानजी उस ध्वजमें युद्धके समय अपने स्वरूपको स्थापित करेंगे
sañjaya uvāca |
bhīmasenānurodhāya hanūmān mārutātmajaḥ |
ātmapratikṛtiṁ tasmin dhvaja āropayiṣyati ||
Disse Sañjaya: Para honrar o pedido de Bhimasena e protegê-lo, Hanuman —filho do Vento— subirá àquele estandarte, estabelecendo ali uma manifestação de sua própria forma para o tempo da batalha. O episódio ressalta a graça protetora concedida por laços de sangue, devoção e aliança justa numa guerra reta.
