सुवृत्तो भव राजेन्द्र पाण्डवान् प्रति मानद | अधर्षणीय: शत्रूणां तैर्व॒तस्त्वं भविष्यसि,राजेन्द्र! आप पाण्डवोंके प्रति सद्व्यवहार करें। मानद! उनसे सुरक्षित होकर आप शत्रुओंके लिये दुर्धर्ष हो जाये
suvṛtto bhava rājendra pāṇḍavān prati mānada | adharṣaṇīyaḥ śatrūṇāṃ tair vṛtatas tvaṃ bhaviṣyasi rājendra ||
Disse Vidura: “Ó melhor dos reis, conduz-te com retidão para com os Pāṇḍavas, ó dispensador de honra. Se te alinhares com eles e estiveres sob sua proteção, tornar-te-ás inalcançável para os teus inimigos. Assim, o trato ético e respeitoso com os justos assegura tanto a dignidade moral quanto a segurança prática.”
