Educational Q&A

Prosperity follows disciplined rule: emotions like anger and joy must be purposeful (not impulsive), duties must be personally supervised, and the treasury must be kept under direct, informed control; then the realm naturally yields wealth.

Vidura is delivering counsel on statecraft and righteous conduct, describing the qualities of an effective ruler/administrator whose restraint and vigilance make the kingdom prosperous.
