उद्योगपर्व — विदुरनीतिः (Adhyāya 37): आयुःक्षयहेतवः, नीतिसूत्राणि, बलभेदाः, पाण्डव-विग्रहदोषदर्शनम्
।। नासुद्गत् परमं मन्त्र भारताहति वेदितुम्
nāsudgataḥ paramaṁ mantraṁ bhāratāhati veditum
Vidura diz: Quem não se elevou acima dos impulsos baixos não está apto a compreender o conselho supremo; no conflito dos Bhāratas, só uma mente disciplinada pelo autocontrolo pode apreender a orientação mais alta, aquela que afasta da ruína e conduz ao dharma.
