भीष्मस्वप्न-स्मृत्युपाख्यानम् | Bhīṣma’s Dream-Linked Recollection of the Paraśurāma Combat
ततो महेन्द्र सह तैर्मुनिभिर्भगुसत्तम: । यथा55गतं तथा सो5गान्मामुपामन्त्रय भारत,भारत! तदनन्तर भृगुश्रेष्ठ परशुरामजी उन महर्षियोंके साथ मुझसे विदा ले जैसे आये थे, वैसे ही महेन्द्र पर्वतपर चले गये
tato mahendra-saha tair munibhir bhṛgu-sattamaḥ | yathāgataṃ tathā so 'gān mām upāmantrya bhārata bhārata ||
Então Paraśurāma, o mais eminente dos Bhṛgu, juntamente com aqueles sábios, despediu-se de mim, ó Bhārata. Assim como viera, assim partiu de novo para o Monte Mahendra.
राम उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct in relationships: even powerful figures like Paraśurāma observe proper decorum by formally taking leave (upāmantrya). Ethical strength is shown through restraint, respect, and adherence to courteous procedure.
Rāma (Paraśurāma), accompanied by sages, concludes his visit and departs. After bidding farewell to the narrator/speaker, he returns to Mount Mahendra, marking a transition to the next phase of events.
