Ambā Seeks Refuge with Rāma Jāmadagnya
The verse highlights the ethical force of a guru/elder’s command and the expectation that a great ruler upholds honor and duty by responding to rightful authority—an expression of dharma framed as obedience to a superior’s word.
Paraśurāma addresses a woman (Bhāvini), stating he will send her to Bhīṣma, confident that Bhīṣma—renowned among the Kurus—will comply with Paraśurāma’s instruction upon hearing it.
