Upaśruti Guides Indrāṇī to Indra; Indrāṇī Reports Nahuṣa’s Misconduct (उपश्रुति-इन्द्राणी-इन्द्रदर्शन प्रसङ्गः)
क्षिप्रमन्वेहि भद् ते द्रक्ष्यसे सुरसत्तमम् । ततस्तां प्रहितां देवीमिन्द्राणी सा समन्वगात्
kṣipram anv ehi bhad te drakṣyase surasattamam | tatas tāṃ prahitāṃ devīm indrāṇī sā samanvagāt |
“Que te seja favorável. Vem depressa após mim; contemplarás o melhor entre os deuses, o senhor dos devas.” Tendo dito isso, a deusa Upaśruti partiu dali; e Indrāṇī, enviada com ela, seguiu-a.
शल्य उवाच
The verse highlights prompt, disciplined compliance with a legitimate directive and the proper deference of messengers and attendants when approaching a higher authority (here, the foremost deity).
Śalya instructs someone to follow quickly, promising a vision of the foremost god (Indra). Upaśruti departs, and Indrāṇī, having been dispatched, follows after her.
