Divodāsa–Mādhavī Saṃvāda: Pratardana-janma and Kanyā-niryātana

The verse frames marriage and progeny within dharma: legitimate union is tied to agreed obligations (the stipulated payment), and the woman is honored through a sacred metaphor—likened to the araṇī that brings forth ritual fire—emphasizing responsibility, lineage, and the sanctity of generative power.
Gālava addresses a king and assures him that the maiden will bear him sons, but only after the required bride-price is fulfilled; he praises her auspicious qualities and uses the araṇī–fire imagery to describe her as the source from which the king’s sons will arise.
