कटके कुण्डले चैव ब्रह्मुसूत्रं तथा परम्
kaṭake kuṇḍale caiva brahmasūtraṃ tathā param | kaḍe kuṇḍala yajñopavīta vicitra-vastraṃ viśeṣataḥ gandham arpitvā vācakasya devatā-samāṃ pūjāṃ kuryāt | evaṃ-kārī śrotā bhagavato viṣṇoḥ loke gacchati ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Oferecendo braceletes e brincos, e também o cordão sagrado (yajñopavīta), juntamente com ornamentos, vestes finas e variadas, e sobretudo substâncias fragrantes, deve-se honrar o recitador como se cultuaria uma divindade. O ouvinte que assim procede alcança o mundo do Senhor Viṣṇu.”
