यदिदं सप्तमं जन्म पद्मजं ब्रह्मणो नूप । तत्रैष धर्म: कथित: स्वयं नारायणेन ह

Transliteration

yad idaṃ saptamaṃ janma padmajaṃ brahmaṇo nūpa | tatraiṣa dharmaḥ kathitaḥ svayaṃ nārāyaṇena ha, nareśvara |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana disse: Ó rei, naquele sétimo nascimento de Brahmā, o nascido do lótus, este mesmo Dharma foi ensinado—de fato, pelo próprio Nārāyaṇa. No início do éon, o Senhor instruiu neste Dharma Brahmā, de alma pura, criador dos mundos; e depois Brahmā primeiro transmitiu este ensinamento do Dharma ao Prajāpati Dakṣa.
