देवतापितृप्रश्नः — Nārada at Badarīāśrama: the ultimate referent of daiva and pitṛ worship
अथेमं दर्शनोपायं सम्यग् यो वेत्ति मानव: । सम्यक् स्वधर्म कृत्वेह परत्र सुखमश्लुते
athemaṃ darśanopāyaṃ samyag yo vetti mānavaḥ | samyak svadharma kṛtveha paratra sukham aśnute ||
Disse Vyāsa: Aquele que conhece verdadeiramente este meio correto para a visão (realização) do Ser supremo e que, neste mundo, cumpre retamente o seu próprio dever, desfruta da felicidade no além.
व्यास उवाच
Right knowledge of the method leading to direct realization, combined with proper performance of one’s own duty (svadharma) in this life, leads to well-being in the hereafter; the verse links inner realization with ethical conduct.
Vyāsa is concluding or reinforcing an instruction: he states the फल (result) of knowing the correct means to realization—namely, that a person who understands it and lives by svadharma gains happiness after death.
