देवतापितृप्रश्नः — Nārada at Badarīāśrama: the ultimate referent of daiva and pitṛ worship
यथेह यत् कृत॑ शुभं विपाप्मभि: कृतात्मभि: । तदाप्रुवन्ति मानवास्तथा विशुद्धयोनय:
yatheha yat kṛtaṁ śubhaṁ vipāpmabhiḥ kṛtātmabhiḥ | tad āpnuvanti mānavās tathā viśuddha-yonayaḥ ||
Vyāsa disse: “Assim como, neste mundo, os de alma pura e sem pecado praticam ações auspiciosas, assim os seres humanos obtêm os resultados correspondentes—renascendo em ventres purificados e em condições de vida mais elevadas, sem mancha.”
व्यास उवाच
Auspicious actions performed by the sinless and self-disciplined bear corresponding fruits, including elevated and purified rebirth; moral quality of action determines the quality of future experience.
In the didactic discourse of the Śānti Parva, Vyāsa states a general principle of karmic fruition: good deeds done in this life lead to appropriate rewards, often expressed as birth in a purified womb and the attainment of the deed’s fruit in a subsequent life.
