अथ देव्या मतं ज्ञात्वा हृद्गतं यच्चिकीर्षितम् । स समाज्ञापयामास तिष्ठ त्वमिति नन्दिनम्
atha devyā mataṁ jñātvā hṛd-gataṁ yac cikīrṣitam | sa samājñāpayāmāsa tiṣṭha tvam iti nandinam ||
Disse Bhīṣma: Então, tendo compreendido a intenção da Deusa — o que lhe estava no coração e o que pretendia fazer — Mahādeva deu a Nandin uma ordem clara: «Fica aqui, de pé.» O trecho ressalta que, uma vez discernida a resolução interior, aqueles investidos do dever respondem com ação decisiva e disciplinada.
