श्रेयो-धर्मकर्मविचारः
Inquiry into Śreyas, Dharma, and Karma
तुरीयांशेन तस्येमं विद्धि केशवमच्युतम् । तुरीयार्थेन लोकांस्त्रीन् भावयत्येव बुद्धिमान्
turīyāṁśena tasyemaṁ viddhi keśavam acyutam | turīyārthena lokāṁs trīn bhāvayaty eva buddhimān ||
Bhishma disse: Sabe que este Keshava, o infalível Achyuta, é dotado de uma quarta parte daquele Narayana supremo. Com esse mesmo quarto, o Senhor sábio sustenta e faz surgir os três mundos, sem jamais decair de sua majestade inerente.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse affirms Krishna’s supreme divinity: he is identified as an aspect of Narayana, possessing a ‘quarter-portion’ through which the entire threefold cosmos is manifested and sustained, while his essential glory remains unchanged and undiminished.
In Shanti Parva’s instruction to Yudhishthira, Bhishma continues theological teaching, praising Krishna as Achyuta and explaining his cosmic status—linking him to Narayana and describing his power to uphold the three worlds.
