Yudhiṣṭhira’s Remorse and Vyāsa’s Teaching on Impermanence (Śoka-nivāraṇa)
संयोगा विप्रयोगान्ता जातानां प्राणिनां ध्रुवम्
saṃyogā viprayogāntā jātānāṃ prāṇināṃ dhruvam
Vyāsa disse: “Para todos os seres que nascem, toda união está, sem dúvida, destinada a terminar em separação.”
व्यास उवाच
All relationships and worldly associations are inherently impermanent; since separation is certain, one should cultivate steadiness, restraint, and non-attachment, meeting gain and loss, union and parting with dharmic composure.
Vyāsa delivers a consoling, philosophical maxim within the Śānti Parva’s instruction: he frames human grief and attachment against the universal law that every meeting of embodied beings must end in parting.
