वाराणस्यां महाप्राज्ञस्तुलाधार: प्रतिष्ठित: । सोअप्येवं नाते वक्तुं यथा त्वं भाषसे द्विज

Transliteration

Vārāṇasyāṃ mahāprājñas tulādhāraḥ pratiṣṭhitaḥ | so 'py evaṃ nāta vaktuṃ yathā tvaṃ bhāṣase dvija ||

Translation

Bhishma disse: “Em Vārāṇasī reside um homem de sabedoria suprema chamado Tulādhāra, firmemente estabelecido no dharma. Nem mesmo ele falaria do modo como tu falas, ó duas-vezes-nascido.” (Assim, uma voz celeste admoesta Jājali: sua pretensão quanto ao dharma é corrigida ao apontá-lo para um verdadeiro exemplo—Tulādhāra—cuja sabedoria se distingue pela contenção e pela humildade, e não pela autoafirmação.)
