मृत्योर्ब्रह्मणा नियोजनम् — The Commissioning of Mṛtyu by Brahmā
कामतो मुच्यमानस्तु धूम्राभ्रादिव चन्द्रमा: । विरजा: कालमाकांक्षन् धीरो धैर्येण वर्तते
kāmato mucyamānas tu dhūmrābhrād iva candramāḥ | virajāḥ kālam ākāṅkṣan dhīro dhairyeṇa vartate ||
Vyāsa disse: “Quando o homem firme é libertado do desejo, torna-se puro—como a lua que emerge de nuvens enfumaçadas. Livre do pó do rajas (a paixão inquieta), ele aguarda o tempo destinado com paciência e autocontrole, permanecendo sereno na resistência.”

Vyāsa describes the state of a desire-freed, disciplined person through a vivid image: like the moon becoming bright when smoky clouds pass, the mind becomes clear when desire loosens. Such a person calmly awaits ‘kāla’—the proper time or the inevitable course of time—without anxiety.
