दृढ्भक्तिरनिन्द्यात्मा श्रुतवाननृशंसवान् | वीतसम्मोहदोषश्न तस्मात् सर्वत्र पूजित:,उनकी मेरे प्रति दृढ़ भक्ति है। उनका हृदय शुद्ध है। वे विद्वान् और दयालु हैं। उनके मोह आदि दोष दूर हो गये हैं; इसीलिये उनका सर्वत्र आदर है
dṛḍha-bhaktir anindyātmā śrutavān anṛśaṃsavān | vīta-sammoha-doṣaś ca tasmāt sarvatra pūjitaḥ ||
Disse Vāyu: “Ele nutre por mim uma devoção inabalável; sua natureza interior é irrepreensível e pura. É instruído e compassivo, e os defeitos nascidos da ilusão se afastaram dele. Por isso é honrado em toda parte.”
वायुदेव उवाच
True honor arises from inner virtues: steadfast devotion, blameless character, learning guided by compassion, and the removal of delusion-born faults. Such a person becomes worthy of respect in every setting.
Vāyudeva is speaking in praise of a devotee’s qualities, explaining why that person is universally revered: his devotion to Vāyu, purity of heart, learning, kindness, and freedom from delusion.
