आकाशे ददृशे ज्योतिरुद्यतार्चि:समप्रभम् । तयो: समीप त॑ प्राप्तं॑ प्रत्यदुश्यत भारत
ākāśe dadṛśe jyotir udyatārciḥ-samaprabham | tayoḥ samīpaṃ tat prāptaṃ pratyadṛśyata bhārata ||
Disse Bhishma: No céu surgiu uma luz radiante, ardendo com um brilho semelhante ao de uma chama que se ergue. Ó Bhārata, viu-se que ela se aproximava dos dois, como se um segundo sol tivesse chegado perto do sol recém-nascido—um esplendor divino e assombroso que avançava passo a passo em sua direção.
