अभिततस्तूदयन्तं तमर्कमर्कमिवापरम्
abhitatastūdāyantaṁ tam arkam arkam ivāparam | udita hote hue sūryake pāsa hī ākāśaṁ teṣāṁ dvitīya-sūrya-samāṁ divyāṁ jyotiṁ dadarśuḥ, yā prajvalitāgni-śikhā-samā prakāśamānā āsīt | bhārata! sā jyotiḥ kramaśas tayoḥ samīpam āgacchantīva dṛśyate |
Disse Bhishma: À medida que avançavam em direção àquele sol, viram no céu, bem junto ao próprio orbe nascente, uma radiância divina—como um segundo sol—brilhando como a crista de uma chama ardente. Ó Bharata, aquela luz então pareceu aproximar-se cada vez mais dos dois.
