ब्राह्मणस्य पूर्वतरा वृत्तिः — The Earlier Ideal Conduct of a Brahmana
River-of-Saṃsāra Metaphor
काल पश्यति सुव्यक्ते पाणावामलकं यथा । कालचारित्रतत्त्वज्ञ: सर्वशास्त्रविशारद:
kālaṁ paśyati suvyakte pāṇāv āmalakaṁ yathā | kālacāritra-tattvajñaḥ sarvaśāstra-viśāradaḥ ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Percebes o Tempo com perfeita clareza, como se vê um fruto de āmalaka repousando na palma da mão. És conhecedor da verdadeira natureza do Tempo e de seus modos de agir, e és profundamente versado em todos os śāstras.”
