Prosperity and sovereignty (Śrī/Lakṣmī) are not meant to be carried by isolated ego or solitary power; they require sustained discipline, vigilance, and supportive conditions. The verse underscores humility and the ethical responsibility needed to sustain fortune.
Indra (Śakra) addresses the Lotus-dwelling goddess (Śrī/Lakṣmī), acknowledging that no single being—whether god, human, or any creature—can bear her ‘weight’ alone, implying that maintaining prosperity and royal splendor demands continual effort and broader support.
