कालनिर्णयः, युगधर्मवर्णनम्, सृष्टिक्रमश्च
Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation
पुरा सर्व प्रव्यथितं मयि क्रुद्धे पुरंदर । अवैमि त्वस्य लोकस्य धर्म शक्र सनातनम्
purā sarva-pravyathitaṃ mayi kruddhe puraṃdara | avaimi tv asya lokasya dharmaṃ śakra sanātanam ||
“Outrora, ó Purandara, sempre que eu me enfurecia, o mundo inteiro era lançado na aflição. Conheço bem a lei eterna deste mundo, ó Śakra: aqui, por vezes há crescimento e por vezes declínio — tal é a sua natureza desde tempos imemoriais.”
