अध्याय २०८ — इन्द्रियनिग्रहः, सत्याहिंसात्मकवाक्, कर्मफलविवेकः
Restraint of the Senses, Non-harming Truthful Speech, and Discernment of Karmic Consequence
प्रजामाचक्षते विप्रा: पुराणा: शाशबिन्दवीम् | स वृष्णिवंशप्रभवो महावंश: प्रजापते:
prajām ācakṣate viprāḥ purāṇāḥ śaśabindavīm | sa vṛṣṇivaṁśa-prabhavo mahāvaṁśaḥ prajāpateḥ ||
Bhīṣma disse: “Os antigos sábios brâmanes descrevem a origem dos povos como proveniente de Śaśabindu. De Prajāpati surgiu aquela grande linhagem, e dela, mais tarde, nasceu a célebre dinastia Vṛṣṇi.”
