रश्मीस्तेषां स मनसा यदा सम्यड्नियच्छति । तदा प्रकाशते<स्यात्मा घटे दीपो ज्वलन्निव
raśmīs teṣāṃ sa manasā yadā samyaṅ niyacchati | tadā prakāśate 'syātmā ghaṭe dīpo jvalann iva ||
Disse Bhīṣma: Quando uma pessoa, por meio da mente, refreia devidamente as rédeas dos sentidos, então o Si dentro dela resplandece—como uma lâmpada ardendo firme dentro de um vaso. O ensinamento enfatiza a disciplina interior: o domínio ético começa governando os sentidos com uma mente bem dirigida, e dessa contenção nasce a clara autoiluminação, não a exibição exterior.
