Adhyāya 193: Adjudication of the Comparable Fruits of Japa and Yoga
सर्वकामैर्व॒ता: केचिद्धेमाभरण भूषिता: । प्राणधारणमात्र तु केषांचिदुपपद्यते । श्रमेण महता केचित् कुर्वन्ति प्राणधारणम्
bharadvāja uvāca | sarvakāmair vṛtāḥ kecid hemābharaṇa-bhūṣitāḥ | prāṇa-dhāraṇa-mātraṁ tu keṣāṁcid upapadyate | śrameṇa mahatā kecit kurvanti prāṇa-dhāraṇam |
Bharadvāja disse: Naquele reino, alguns são cercados de todos os prazeres desejados e adornados com ornamentos de ouro. Contudo, para outros obtém-se apenas o sustento suficiente para manter a vida; e alguns, com grande esforço, mal conseguem conservar o fôlego. Assim, mesmo ali, os frutos da ação se manifestam de forma visível, e os seres experimentam condições diversas conforme seus atos.
