भूगुरुवाच अमितानां महाशब्दो यान्ति भूतानि सम्भवम् | ततस्तेषां महाभूतशब्दोडयमुपपद्यते
Translation
Bhṛgu disse: “Ó sábio! Estes cinco bhūtas são ilimitados; por isso se lhes acrescenta o termo ‘mahā’. Deles procede o surgimento dos seres; portanto, é apropriado empregar para eles a palavra ‘mahābhūta’.”
