तमेकमसुरा: सर्वे सहस्नमिति मेनिरे । शीघ्रतापूर्वक पैर उठानेके कारण विचित्र गतिसे विचरण करनेवाले एकमात्र खड्गधारी रुद्रदेवको वे सब असुर सहस्रोंक समान समझने लगे
tam ekam asurāḥ sarve sahasram iti meṇire | śīghratā-pūrvaka-pada-uddhāna-kāraṇāt vicitra-gatyā vicaraṇa-śīlaṁ ekamātra-khaḍga-dhāriṇaṁ rudradevaṁ te sarve 'surāḥ sahasrāṇāṁ samam aśaṁsanta |
Bhishma disse: Todos os Asuras, ao verem Rudra sozinho—movendo-se com um passo estranho e veloz, erguendo rapidamente os pés, espada em punho—tomaram aquele único guerreiro por uma força equivalente a milhares.
