Transliteration

jīvitaṃ saṃ kumārāya prādād varṣaśatāni vai |

Translation

Disse Bhīṣma: Śaṅkara restituiu a vida ao menino e lhe concedeu a plenitude de cem anos, atendendo à prece derramada em lágrimas, nascida do coração e oferecida com total entrega. O episódio mostra que a devoção sincera e a graça compassiva podem reverter até a desventura que parece definitiva, e afirma o ideal ético de proteger e restaurar a vida.
