अकृत्वा संविदं काज्चित्‌ सहसा समवपष्लुत: । कृतज्ञं कृतकर्माणं कच्चिन्मां नाभिशंकसे

Transliteration

akṛtvā saṁvidaṁ kāñcit sahasā samavapluṭaḥ | kṛtajñaṁ kṛtakarmāṇaṁ kaccin māṁ nābhiśaṅkase ||

Translation

Bhīṣma disse: “Irmão! Sem termos feito qualquer entendimento prévio, nem mesmo uma breve troca de palavras, por que te escorregaste de súbito para dentro desta toca? Sou-te grato; ao proteger a tua vida, também realizei para ti um grande serviço. Não nutres nenhuma suspeita contra mim, nutres?”
