Adhyāya 118: Saciva-parīkṣā
Testing and Appointment of Ministers/Servants
थ्वा त्वं द्वीपित्वमापन्नो द्वीपीव्याप्रत्वमागत:
tvaṃ tvam dvīpitvam āpanno dvīpīvyāpratvam āgataḥ
Bhīṣma disse: “Tu passaste ao estado de leopardo e, do leopardo, avançaste ainda mais—movendo-te assim por nascimentos animais sucessivos. Assim, foste primeiro um cão, depois um leopardo, então entraste no ventre de um tigre; do tigre tornaste-te um elefante embriagado; do elefante chegaste ao ventre de um leão; e, tendo sido um leão poderoso, obtiveste novamente o corpo de um śarabha.”
