अक्रोधनो महाराज तुल्यनिन्दात्मसंस्तुति: । प्रियाप्रिये तुल्यवृत्ति्यमवत्समदर्शन:,महाराज! उनमें क्रोध नहीं था। वे अपनी निन््दा और स्तुतिको समान समझते थे। प्रिय और अप्रियकी प्राप्तिमें उनकी चित्तवृत्ति एक-सी रहती थी। वे यमराजकी भाँति सबके प्रति सम दृष्टि रखते थे
akrodhano mahārāja tulya-nindātma-saṁstutiḥ | priyāpriye tulya-vṛttir yama-vat sama-darśanaḥ ||
Disse Vaiśampāyana: “Ó rei, ele estava livre da ira. Considerava censura e louvor como iguais. Ao obter o agradável e o desagradável, sua disposição mental permanecia a mesma. Como Yama, fitava a todos com um olhar equânime e imparcial.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
