Indratīrtha and the Austerities of Srucāvatī & Arundhatī
कुमारके अभिषेक और उनके द्वारा दैत्योंके वधका वृत्तान्त सुनकर मुझे बड़ा आनन्द प्राप्त हुआ है और पुनः मेरे मनमें इस विषयको सुननेकी उत्कण्ठा जाग्रत् हो गयी है ।।
Janamejaya uvāca | kumārake abhiṣekaṁ ca taiś ca daityavadhaṁ śrutvā mahad ānandaṁ prāpto 'smi punaś ca me manasi śrotum utkaṇṭhā jātaiva || apāṁ patiḥ kathaṁ hāsminn abhiṣiktaḥ purā suraiḥ | tan me brūhi mahāprājña kuśalo 'si sattama sādhūśiromaṇe ||
Janamejaya disse: “Ao ouvir o relato da consagração em Kumāraka e do extermínio dos Dāityas por ele, senti grande alegria; e, mais uma vez, despertou em minha mente um vivo desejo de ouvir mais sobre este assunto. Como, neste mesmo lugar sagrado, foi outrora consagrado pelos deuses Varuṇa — o senhor das águas? Dize-me tudo em detalhe, ó grande sábio; és hábil na exposição, o melhor dos homens, joia do diadema entre os virtuosos.”
