बदरपाचन-तीर्थमाहात्म्यम् | Badarapācana Tīrtha Māhātmya
Indratīrtha and the Austerities of Srucāvatī & Arundhatī
सरित: सागरांश्षैव नदांक्षापि सरांसि च । पालयामास विधिना यथा देवान् शतक्रतु:
saritaḥ sāgarāṁś caiva nadāṁś cāpi sarāṁsi ca | pālayāmāsa vidhinā yathā devān śatakratuḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Ele governou, na devida ordem e segundo a regra apropriada, os rios e os mares, os regatos e os lagos também—assim como Śatakratu (Indra) protege e sustenta os deuses. O verso ressalta a realeza como tutela disciplinada: manter a ordem natural e social por meio de proteção legal e comedida, e não por poder arbitrário.
