अध्याय ३: कृपस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana
सो<वतीर्य रथात्तूर्ण गदापाणिरयुध्यत । युद्धस्थलमें सामने खड़े हुए उन योद्धाओंके साथ जूझते समय भीमसेनको बड़ा क्रोध हुआ। वे तुरंत ही रथसे उतरकर हाथमें गदा ले उन सबके साथ युद्ध करने लगे
so 'vatīrya rathāt tūrṇaṃ gadāpāṇir ayudhyata |
Disse Sañjaya: Então Bhīmasena, descendo rapidamente do seu carro, com a maça (gadā) na mão, entrou na luta. Mesmo enquanto se engalfinhava com os guerreiros que estavam diante dele no campo de batalha, sua ira cresceu; escolheu o combate corpo a corpo e, empunhando a gadā, enfrentou a todos face a face.
