The verse highlights how commands in a war setting can be accepted with unquestioning resolve ('taking on the head'), yet it also warns of the moral danger of yuddha-durmada—war-born arrogance that clouds judgment and intensifies conflict.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, following Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son’s order, the Pārthas advanced into battle, accepting the instruction as binding and moving forward with heightened martial fervor.
