अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्
Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
एवं ते निधन यात: पुत्रो दुर्योधनो नूप । अग्रे यात्वा रणे शूर: पश्चाद् विनिहतः परै:
evaṁ te nidhanaṁ yātaḥ putro duryodhano nṛpa | agre yātvā raṇe śūraḥ paścād vinihataḥ paraiḥ ||
Sañjaya disse: “Assim, ó rei, teu filho Duryodhana encontrou o seu fim. Herói no campo de batalha, foi o primeiro a avançar para o combate; contudo, ao cabo, foi o último a ser abatido por seus inimigos.”
