अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः

Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution

वहाँ रथोंसे उतरकर वे महारथी वीर बड़ी उतावलीके साथ आकर शोकपीड़ित द्रपदकुमारी कृष्णासे मिले। वे स्वयं भी शोकसे अत्यन्त व्याकुल हो रहे थे ।। तामुपेत्य निरानन्दां दुःखशोकसमन्विताम्‌ | परिवार्य व्यतिष्ठन्त पाण्डवा: सहकेशवा:,दुःख-शोकमें डूबी हुई आनन्दशून्य द्रौपदीके पास पहुँचकर श्रीकृष्णसहित पाण्डव उसे चारों ओरसे घेरकर बैठ गये

tām upetya nirānandāṁ duḥkhaśokasamanvitām | parivārya vyatiṣṭhanta pāṇḍavāḥ sahakeśavāḥ ||

Ali, após descerem de seus carros, aqueles heróis maharathas vieram apressados ao encontro de Kṛṣṇā, filha de Drupada—Draupadī—afligida pela dor; e eles próprios se achavam profundamente transtornados pelo luto. Aproximando-se de Draupadī, sem alegria e tomada por sofrimento e tristeza, os Pāṇḍavas—junto com Keśava (Kṛṣṇa)—cercaram-na e permaneceram bem próximos, em solidariedade. A cena ressalta o dever ético de parentes e aliados: oferecer presença, proteção e luto compartilhado após a atrocidade.

In the aftermath of violence, dharma is expressed not only through justice but also through compassionate presence: standing with the afflicted, offering protection, and sharing the burden of grief rather than leaving the victim isolated.
