धन्यं व: पितरं मन्ये तपोमेधान्वितं तथा । यः पुत्राधिमसम्प्राप्य स्वर्गेच्छामकरोत् प्रियाम्
dhanyaṃ vaḥ pitaraṃ manye tapomedhānvitam tathā | yaḥ putrādhimasaṃprāpya svargecchām akarot priyām ||
Disse Vaiśaṃpāyana: “Considero vosso pai verdadeiramente bem-aventurado—dotado de austeridade e aguda inteligência—pois, tendo alcançado o bem supremo por meio de seus filhos, não caiu na tristeza que nasce de ser afligido pelo sofrimento deles; ao contrário, teve por querida a aspiração ao céu.”
