Sabhā Parva, Adhyāya 68 — Pāṇḍavānāṃ Vanavāsa-prasthānaḥ; Duḥśāsana-nindā; Pāṇḍava-pratijñāḥ
सुधन्वना तथोक्तः सन् व्यथितो<श्वत्थपर्णवत् । जगाम कश्यपं दैत्य: परिप्रष्ठं महौजसम्
sudhanvanā tathoktaḥ san vyathito 'śvatthaparṇavat | jagāma kaśyapaṃ daityaḥ paripraṣṭuṃ mahaujasam ||
Assim interpelado por Sudhanvan, o Daitya (Prahlāda) ficou profundamente aflito, tremendo como uma folha da árvore aśvattha. Buscando esclarecimento sobre o assunto, foi ao encontro do sábio Kaśyapa, poderoso e resplandecente, para interrogá-lo.
विदुर उवाच
When confronted with a difficult ethical or dharmic question, one should not act from fear or agitation; instead, seek clarification from a truly wise and authoritative source, as Prahlāda approaches Kaśyapa for discerning counsel.
After Sudhanvan speaks to him, Prahlāda becomes shaken and trembles like an aśvattha leaf. Wanting to understand the issue more fully, he goes to the powerful sage Kaśyapa to question him.
