Deliberation on the Rajasuya and the Summoning of Kṛṣṇa
The verse emphasizes dharma as fidelity to a righteous vow—especially fulfilling a father’s solemn resolve. Such integrity is presented as spiritually efficacious, leading to heavenly attainment and continuity with one’s ancestors.
Nārada addresses a Pāṇḍava hero, urging him to complete his father’s intended undertaking. He promises that by doing so the Pāṇḍava will attain Indra’s world and share the same heavenly realm as the forefathers, even reaching it ahead of others.
