Arjuna’s evacuation of Dvārakā, Vasudeva’s rites, and the caravan’s crisis
The verse affirms the ideal of kṛtakṛtyatā—having completed one’s rightful obligations. Ethical life is measured not by mere success, but by the sense of duty fulfilled and a life brought to completion with inner readiness.
Vyāsa addresses the Kuru survivors/descendants with an honorific, declaring that he regards them as having completed their appointed tasks and reached a state of completion—an evaluative, consoling statement amid the Mausala Parva’s atmosphere of endings.
