जयं मत्वा विपुलं वै त्वदीया- स्तलान्‌ निजष्नु: सिंहनादांश्व नेदु:

Transliteration

jayaṁ matvā vipulaṁ vai tvadīyās talān nijaṣṇuḥ siṁhanādāṁś ca neduḥ

Translation

Disse Sañjaya: Julgando assegurada uma grande vitória, teus guerreiros bateram os tambores de guerra e soltaram brados de combate como leões. Embriagados pelo triunfo antecipado, proclamaram confiança em vez de contenção—presságio de como o orgulho pode irromper em meio à incerteza moral da guerra.
