कुलिन्दपुत्रावरजस्तु तोमरै- दिवाकरांशुप्रतिमैरयस्मयै: । रथं च विक्षोभ्य ननाद नर्दत- स्ततो<स्य गान्धारपति: शिरो5हरत्‌

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

kulindaputrāvarajas tu tomarair

divākarāṃśupratimair ayasmayaiḥ |

rathaṃ ca vikṣobhya nanāda nardatas

tato 'sya gāndhārapatiḥ śiro 'harat ||

Translation

Sañjaya disse: O irmão mais novo do príncipe dos Kulindas, arremessando dardos de ferro radiantes como os raios do sol, sacudiu o carro do rei de Gandhāra e bradou em desafio. Então o senhor de Gandhāra decepou a cabeça daquele guerreiro que rugia.
