yato yataḥ pāṇḍaveyaḥ praviṣṭo rathasattamaḥ | tatastato ’ghātayat yodhān śatasahasraśaḥ ||
Disse Sañjaya: Para onde quer que o herói Pāṇḍava—o melhor entre os guerreiros de carro—investisse, naquela mesma direção ele abatia os combatentes inimigos em incontáveis centenas de milhares.
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya reports that the Pāṇḍava champion—understood as Bhīma—breaks into enemy formations; wherever he penetrates, he cuts down vast numbers of opposing warriors, indicating a decisive and terrifying surge in the fighting.
