Bhīmasena disse: “Ó cocheiro, portador de boas novas—teu relato alegrou-me profundamente. Já que me informaste, ó Viśoka, que Arjuna chegou, concedo-te catorze excelentes aldeias. E, com elas, recebe cem servas e vinte carros como tua recompensa.”
भीमसेन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethic of honoring beneficial service: good news that strengthens one’s side in war is acknowledged with tangible reward, reflecting a kingly duty to recognize loyalty and timely assistance.
Bhīma, pleased to hear from Viśoka/the charioteer that Arjuna has arrived, publicly grants the messenger a lavish reward—villages, maidservants, and chariots—both as gratitude and as a morale-boosting gesture in the war setting.
