तस्थौ सुविह्वल: संख्ये प्रहारजनितश्रम: । अथ द्रोणस्य समरे तत्कालसदृशं तदा
tasthau suvihvalaḥ saṅkhye prahārajanitaśramaḥ | atha droṇasya samare tatkālasadṛśaṃ tadā
Disse Sañjaya: No auge da batalha ele permaneceu de pé, profundamente abalado, exausto pela fadiga nascida de golpes sucessivos. Então, naquele combate, ocorreu um acontecimento que pareceu a própria chegada da Morte naquele instante — um ponto de viragem ominoso na luta.
